The Chicago Bulls finished up their best west coast road trip in years, pulled off a comeback victory Sunday night to the New York Knicks, and then got the doors blown off of them on the second leg of their back-to-back vs. the Pacers on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets continue to fall on their face; now losers of 15 consecutive games and are the NBA embodiment of Nelson and Milhouse from The Simpsons.

Can the Rockets finally lift themselves off the ground and get back in the win column? Or will the Bulls respond after their first blowout loss of the season?

Bulls vs. Rockets Prediction and Pick

Had the Bulls not gotten spanked on Monday night, I would have considered a play on the Rockets tonight. Who knew that no Alex Caruso in the lineup would result in Chicago's worst loss of the season?

Even if the veteran guard doesn't play again for Chicago, the Pacers caught Chicago at the most opportune time. They just finished up a long road trip, got a big home win, and then got caught napping on the back-to-back.

Chicago's defensive rating is still been top 10 in the league, despite some stumbles on the west coast. Where they may struggle is inside if the Rockets use Christian Wood in the paint against the Bulls' smaller lineup without Nikola Vucevic. Kevin Porter could help narrow the gap, but he's currently day to day with a thigh injury. Either way, Chicago can beat you in a variety of ways as DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine are each averaging 26.3 and 25.9 points per game respectively; shooting a combined 48.7% from the floor.

While the Bulls haven't been getting the near double-digit favorites treatment for most of the season, I like Chicago to cruise to a win on the road comfortably. The Bulls are tied for the third best against the spread (ATS) record in the league with Miami at 12-6-0, and are 4-1-0 ATS coming off a loss.

PICK: Bulls -8.5 (-110)
