Canada pulled off a great upset in the Olympic Semifinals, defeating the United States 1-0. As a result the Canadians, who were +600 to win Gold prior to the match against the United States, are now one win away from standing on top of the podium.
"For those of us that were part of the 2012 team, it's nice to get a little revenge in an Olympic semifinal," Christine Sinclair said. "I was just sitting there thinking how proud I am of this team," she said. "It's a very unique group. It's a special group and I'm so proud to be a part of it."

Canada beats the USA 1-0 in their Olympic semifinal

To get there, they will have to pull off one more major upset. This time it will be against Sweden.
WynnBET has Sweden as the -130 favorite on the 3-way moneyline and Canada is the +400 underdog. The draw is priced at +255.
In the 2016 Olympics, it was Sweden that pulled off an upset of the Americans. Sweden won Silver, losing to Germany, but is now here to get that elusive Gold Medal. A win for Sweden would be the first time it’s ever won consecutive medals at the Olympics.
Canada finally made it over the hump this year. In the last two Olympics, Canada has finished in third, losing in the semifinal both times. Now the country has a chance to take one more leap and be on top of the international stage.
Whichever team comes out on top, it will be history. Neither of these teams have served as the center of international play, and that will change come Saturday.
