Don't look now, but the Montreal Canadiens, who are dead last in the NHL, have won two-straight games and are 7-3 in their last 10 heading into tonight's matchup with the Vancouver Canucks. They will still be in last place in the Eastern Conference no matter the outcome, but a win tonight would put them ahead of the Coyotes for the bottom spot in the league. The stakes couldn't be higher.

Meanwhile, the Canucks have something real to play for. The playoff race in the Western Conference has tightened, and Vancouver has played themselves into the mix. They currently sit five points back from the final postseason berth.
