The Vancouver Canucks will play in the second game of a back-to-back tonight, after downing the Chicago Blackhawks by a final score of 3-1 on Monday. Now, they head to Nashville to take on the Predators.

The Preds are coming off a tough 3-2 loss in a shootout to the Oilers last Thursday, and will look to get back in the win column to try to hold on to their second place spot in the NHL's Central Division.

Let's take a look at the odds via WynnBET for tonight's Western Conference showdown.

Canucks vs. Predators Prediction and Pick

The Predators got off to a hot start, but they've truly been stumbling in recent weeks and I wouldn't be surprised to see some regression from this squad. Over their last 25 games, they're 22nd in CORSI%, and 21st in high danger scoring chances. They're strongest asset at the start of the season was their defense, but they're 19th in high danger scoring chances over their last 10 games.

As much as I expect regression from the Preds, I'm not in a hurry to bet on the Canucks either. Their numbers have been in the bottom third of the NHL for the entire season, and the momentum boost they got from hiring Bruce Boudreau has worn off.

If you're going to bet this game, I'd recommend the OVER 5.5 at +110. The Predators have issues they need to figure out on the defensive side of the ice, and I could see the OVER trend continuing for them tonight.

Lean: OVER 5.5 (+110)
