The Vancouver Canucks have climbed out of the basement of the NHL's Pacific Division, and now have a legitimate shot at making the postseason. They're five points back from the final playoff spot in the division, so they still have some work to do.

They can take another step in the right direction tonight when they head to the Big Apple to take on the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

The Rangers will look to bounce back after a 1-0 loss to the Penguins on Saturday afternoon. They're firmly in the third spot in the Central Division, six points ahead of the fourth place Capitals.

That means backup goaltender Alexander Georgiev, who is certainly no Shesterkin. He has a 2.99 goals against average and a .898 save percentage this season.
