Cardinals vs. Browns Prediction
The Cardinals moved to 5-0 on the year against the San Francisco 49ers, but some poor fourth down variance plagued the Niners. San Francisco went 1-for-5 on fourth down, which included a failed attempt at the one yard line. The Cards won an ugly 17-7 game, but didn't look the part of an undefeated Super Bowl contender against a rookie quarterback making his first start.
There are still concerns about the Cards, who are bottom five in defensive rush success rate and allowed the 49ers to average more than five yards per carry. Faced with the two-headed monster of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt in the Browns backfield that are best in the league in EPA per play on the ground, the Cards may be in for a long afternoon.
It may seem fishy that Kyler Murray and company are underdogs, but the Browns are one of the most well rounded teams in the league; top five in defensive success rate this season despite letting up 47 points to the Chargers last week.
Don’t take the bait. Cleveland is the superior team and will look the part on Sunday in a bounce back spot.
Pick: Browns -3
