The Dallas Cowboys dominated the Washington Football Team 56-14 in Week 16. The Cowboys crushed Washington’s supposedly strong defense and hardly allowed them to get anything going on offense. The division win put them one step closer to the playoffs and showed us that they are ready to make a run.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals had a chance to bounce back after suffering back-to-back losses to the Rams and lowly Lions. Turns out, the Cardinals are in a real tailspin and got beat by the Cots 22-16. They are now second in the NFC West and are in desperate need of a win this week.

Desperation might not be enough however, as the Cardinals offense looks lost without DeAndre Hopkins on the field. Here are the odds for this Week 17 showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Cardinals vs. Cowboys Prediction and Pick

At this point, I have a hard time imagining a scenario where the Cardinals' offense gets back into high gear. Heck, any gear. There is no denying their talent, but since the loss of their best receiver, they have looked below average, even downright bad at times. They aren’t clicking at all and it's hard for me to bet on them scoring enough to keep pace with a surging Dallas offense.

This game will tell us a lot about where these two teams currently stand. I think that the Cardinals’ slide is as legit as the Cowboys' surge. These are two Super Bowl contenders who are heading in different directions. I'll side with the team trending up.

Pick: Cowboys -5.5
