The Arizona Cardinals are coming off a perfectly-timed bye week and heading to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Bears. Arizona lost their second game of the season three weeks ago to the Panthers but bounced back in Week 11, beating the 49ers 31-17.

QB Kyler Murray was dealing with an ankle injury and DeAndre Hopkins with a hamstring issue. With the rest, the Cardinals hope the two will be closer to 100 percent for this NFC clash.

The Bears managed to snap their five-game losing streak in Week 12 against the lowly Detroit Lions. It was the Lions' last remaining “easy” game and they could very well be one of the worst teams in NFL history. So great for Chicago but the real takeaway here is the Bears almost lost to what might be the worst team in the history of NFL football.

Cardinals vs. Bears Prediction and Pick

The Bears relied on an unlikely hero last week to lead them to victory; Andy Dalton. Big Red played a big part in keeping the Lions winless going 24-for-39 with 317 yards and a touchdown. Dalton filled in for starter Justin Fields who sat out due to cracked ribs. While it’s a toss-up this early in the week as to who will start under center, I am not sure it matters that much.

The Cardinals are a far better team, rested coming off a bye, and hopefully healthy. To be honest, I’m a little shocked by this spread.

The Cardinals are in the Top-5 of points per game, both on offense and defense, and allow opponents to score just 18.4 PPG. The team stumbled a bit recently with losses to the Packers and Panthers, but injuries had a lot to do with those games.

I just don’t see a world where either Andy Dalton or Justin Fields can do enough to keep this game from devolving into a blowout win for Arizona.

Pick: Arizona Cardinals -7.5 (-110)
