The Detroit Lions finally got their first precious win in Week 13 but were unable to follow up last week. The Denver Broncos pulled away in the second half after outscoring Detroit 21-0 and won 38-10 with little drama. It was a stark reminder that, despite a win, the Lions are still the worst team in the NFL.

To be fair, they did have some bad luck this weekend with De’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams both missing the game. But I don't think that would have mattered too much in the long run.

As of this writing, the Arizona Cardinals have yet to play their Week 14 game against the Rams on Monday night. The Cardinals are 10-2 and lead the NFC West after back-to-back wins over the Seahawks and Bears in recent weeks.

Cardinals vs. Lions Prediction and Pick

This is a pretty big spread to cover but the Cardinals are one of the best teams in the NFL and the Lions are probably the worst. So, if there were ever going to be a chance to cover 14 it's here.

After the Lions were unable to capitalize on their only win, I think they are about done for the year. They managed to avoid the history books as the first 0-17 team and don’t have anything else to fight for.

Considering the Cardinals have yet to play, but barring a disaster, I think they are the team to beat in the NFL right now. This leaves the lowly lions little chance at making a game of this. Especially if the injuries to their backfield persist or more players are added to the reserve/COVID-19.

This team just lost by 28 to the Broncos and have no shot against the Cardinals in Week 15.

Pick: Arizona Cardinals -14 (-110)
