The NFC West is the most surprising division in all of football. The Seahawks are all alone in first and the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams only have three wins each heading into Week 10.

Tom Brady led a last minute drive to beat the Rams in Tampa Bay in Week 9, 16-13. Now, LA is 3-5 and is certainly in danger of missing the playoffs a year after winning the Super Bowl. The Cardinals lost to the Seahawks for the second time this season and are 3-6. If things don’t turn around soon, Kliff Kingsbury could be out in Arizona.

This could be a win-or-go-home game in LA, so let’s take a look at the odds and see what Vegas thinks.

Cardinals vs. Rams Odds, Spread and Total

Rams and Cardinals Betting Trends

  • Rams are 2-5-1 ATS
  • Cardinals are 4-5 ATS
  • The Under is 6-2 in Rams games
  • Cardinals are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC West
  • Favorite is 10-2-1 ATS in last 13 meetings

Cardinals vs. Rams Prediction and Pick

Essentially the loser of this game is going to be eliminated from playoff contention. I would be very surprised if the Cardinals could rally from a 3-7 start or the Rams from 3-6. That means we need to bet on the team that is more battle tested and has shown an ability to win close games. It won’t be a playoff like atmosphere because there are no fans in LA, but it could be playoff intensity on the field. The last time we saw Kyler Murray in a playoff game, how did that go?

Oh yeah, I remember now, he peed down his leg in the biggest game of his life. Who was the game against? That’s right, the LA Rams. In the Rams 34-11 playoff win over Arizona last season, Murray went 19-for-34 for 137 yards and two interceptions. It was a disastrous performance and I have no faith in Kingsbury and Murray in big games.

The Rams have their problems, but they have blue chip talent all over the field and a Super Bowl pedigree. That is enough for me.

Pick: Rams -3 (-110)
