Carlos Rodon has been one of the top pitchers in the American League this season, but he has his work cut out for him tonight in what will be his first start since the All-Star break.

Rodon will take the mound against the Houston Astros, who currently boast the best offense in Major League Baseball. Houston enters the game averaging 5.42 runs per game, the most in the Majors. The Chicago White Sox are close behind, ranking 4th in runs per game at 5.13.

Rodon sports a 2.31 earned run average this season, good for second in the American League behind only Kyle Gibson at 2.29. He faced the Astros earlier this season on June 18, when he pitched for seven innings while only giving up three hits and one earned run.
