The Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons finish their season series this week on Thursday Night Football. The last meeting was electric, with the Falcons winning 37-34 in overtime.

Both teams lost last week. Atlanta lost at the buzzer to Los Angeles and the Panthers got demolished by the “Cincinnati Joe Mixons.”

The NFC South is still up for grabs and another divisional win is going to be a big step in that direction. Who will be able to win the second meeting?

Atlanta has moved from a 2.5-point favorite to a 3-point favorite at a handful of books. The total has also increased from 42.5 to 43.

Falcons vs. Panthers Prediction and Best Bet

The Panthers have been frisky since firing Matt Rhule, but last week’s demolition at the hands of  the Bengals was the end of the feel good story.

P.J. Walker was 3-for-10 for 9 yards and two interceptions. Baker Mayfield, who looked like the worst quarterback in the league when he was in, had to come in for relief.

Walker had his moment against the Falcons two weeks ago, but he hasn’t played well since taking over the starting job. If Carolina continues to go back and forth with its quarterbacks, they won’t be able to find any rhythm against the Falcons.

Atlanta’s defense fell asleep at the wheel in the last meeting. It gave up 34 points and needed a miracle to win the game. However, lightning rarely strikes twice. The Panthers weren’t able to cash in last time, and I doubt they will this time.
