Emma Raducanu stunned the tennis world when she won the U.S. Open, but has battled injuries in the lead up to Wimbledon.

Raducanu's was on point in the first round of Wimbledon this week, winning in straights as she looks to follow up her Round of 16 finish on her home soil last year. She faces Caroline Garcia in the second round, who played for over two hours earlier this week in the first round and looked hobbled by injuries to her lower body.

There are question marks surrounding this matchup, so let's get into it by first looking at the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

  • Garcia: +2.5 (+100)

Total: 21.5 (Over -105/Under -115)

Carolina Garcia vs. Emma Raducanu Prediction and Pick

Raducanu has had injury concerns of her own, and has struggled to find her form since her success at last year's U.S. Open. She has won multiple matches in just two of 10 tournament since her first Grand Slam title. However, she knocked off an in form Allison Van Uytvanck in the first round, who won 12 matches ahead of Wimbledon.

Now, she'll be the more rested, and possibly healthier player on Wednesday against Garcia, who labored to a 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 victory that took two hours and 17 minutes to complete.

In front of her native crowd at the All England Club, I expect Raducanu to control this match from the jump, who feasted on Van Uytvanck's second serve, winning 59% of those points.

Garcia struggled to find her first serve in the first round, getting only 49% of them in play. If she struggles yet again, this should be a routine victory for the No. 11 ranked player.

With some injury concerns for Raducanu, I'll lay off the expensive -170 moneyline, and look for the game total and count on her to pull away in straight sets.

LEAN: Raducanu -2.5 Games (+100)
