The Boston Celtics appear to be trending upward, winning four of their last five games. The Celtics defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in overtime last night, 122-113. With Jaylen Brown remaining on the sidelines, point guard Dennis Schroder stepped up his scoring ability, going 16 of 27 from the field and collecting 38 points.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been a surprise this season, currently 8-5 to start the season and sitting fourth in the Eastern Conference standings. The Cavaliers are 5-1 in November, a different member of the Cavaliers roster seems to rise to the occasion in every contest. Last night was the first game this month when center Jarrett Allen failed to record a double double, but guard Darrius Garland netted 21 points and forward Cedi Osman collected 17 points off the bench.

Can the Cavaliers continue their hot November against the surging Celtics?

Celtics vs. Cavaliers Prediction and Pick

Both of these teams have been playing great basketball lately, but one is more surprising than the other.

The Cavaliers continue to impress with an 8-5 record, and they are 10-3 against the spread. Cleveland has been better than Boston in most defensive categories, but the Cavs defense will have its hands full with a Celtics team that is third in the NBA in pace, averaging 105.5 possessions per game. By comparison, Cleveland is 27th in pace.

Boston may be without Jaylen Brown once again tonight, but the Cavaliers will be without Kevin Love, Lauri Markkanen, and Collin Sexton as well. For Cleveland to pick up a win here, they will need to flex their depth again, and I expect them to do so.

If the Cavs can force some turnovers, which Dennis Schroder is prone to do, and find some points off the bench from Ricky Rubio or Cedi Osman, they can pick up the win at home.

Cleveland should give the people what they want, and that is more Tacko Fall.
