The Boston Celtics are in bounce-back mode on Monday night when they hit the road to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This is the second time in three days these two teams will play after the Cavs beat the Celtics on Saturday 91-89. The Celtics will be out for revenge after blowing a 12-point fourth-quarter lead in their loss to Cleveland. With a win tonight, Boston would move back to .500 with a 7-7 overall record. The Celtics are 8-5 against the spread (ATS) in comparison. The Celtics are 5-1 ATS in their last six games.

Cleveland will be looking for their third win in a row here to move to 10-5 overall on the season. The Cavs are tied for the top spot in the Central Division with the Chicago Bulls and a win tonight would help them at least keep up with Chicago. The Cavs are also a perfect 8-0 ATS in their last eight games this season.

Here are the odds for this Eastern Conference showdown courtesy of WynnBET:

Celtics vs. Cavs Prediction and Pick

The Cleveland Cavaliers, along with the Bulls and Warriors, are having one of the more surprising starts of the season. Cleveland started the year projected ti be one of the worst teams in the league but has defied all odds thus far.

The Cavs are now 9-5 straight up (SU) and 10-4 ATS and are most certainly not one of the worst teams in the NBA. They are fourth in the East and have a great matchup tonight against the Celtics. The Cavs already beat this team in the last few days and did so without Kevin Love, Lauri Markkanen or Collin Sexton. The trio is expected to sit tonight as well.

Despite this, the Celtics are still a better team on paper who are expected to have a much better season when all is said and done. The Celtics showed this by leading the Cavs by double digits heading into the fourth quarter.

That loss was more a byproduct of the Celtics collapsing than the Cavaliers stepping up in the fourth quarter. This is a perfect chance for the Celtics to bounce back and avenge their recent loss to the Cavs. Boston is also expected to see Al Horford return tonight which only gives me more faith in this team tonight on the road.

Pick: Boston Celtics -2.0 (-110)
