Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Chandler Jones was limited to just five games due to a biceps injury in the 2020 season, but he’s expected to find his old form this season.

WynnBET currently has Jones at +1400 odds to lead the NFL in sacks in the 2021 season, which is tied for the fourth-best odds in the league. Prior to missing most of the 2020 season, Jones had recorded double-digit sacks in five straight seasons, including 19.0 sacks in 2019.

Health will be key for Jones, as he finally returned to Arizona’s practice field on Monday after dealing with an injury earlier in the preseason. Jones also wants a new contract, but it seems that he’s motivated to prove his worth in 2021.

"He definitely has a chip on his shoulder, there’s no doubt," Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Monday. "But he is who he is and he’s true to himself. You can’t hide the type of enthusiasm and joy he has day in and day out."

The Cardinals face an uphill battle to make the playoffs this season, as the NFC West is going to be one of the best divisions in football. Arizona has +500 odds to win the division, which is the worst among the group, but adding Jones back to the defense could be key to making a playoff berth a reality.

The Cardinals also added J.J. Watt to their pass rush this offseason, and they already were one of the best teams at getting to the quarterback in 2020, totaling 48 sacks (good for fourth in the NFL).

Jones has been one of the most consistent pass rushers in football since coming to Arizona, and if you think Watt will help unlock a new level in his game, he makes a ton of sense in the prop to lead the NFL in sacks this season.
