Justin Herbert, Mike Williams and the Los Angeles Chargers may have just pulled off the upset of the year so far.

The Chargers went into Arrowhead Stadium and beat the Kansas City Chiefs 30-24 after Patrick Mahomes’ hail mary fell short. The Chiefs closed as 6.5-point favorites at WynnBET Sportsbook,

Kansas City is now 1-2 on the season, and it is an atrocious 1-12-1 against the spread over its last 14 games.

Mahomes uncharacteristically threw an interception late in the fourth quarter after the Chargers evened the game at 24.

This is a huge win for the Chargers and Chargers bettors. Los Angeles is now 2-1 on the season and will have only one more matchup against the division-favorite Chiefs this season. That will come at home.

For Mahomes and company, it shows bettors that it’s not always wise to bet on the best teams in the NFL.

WynnBET had 81.6 percent of the handle on Kansas City in this matchup despite the fact that the Chiefs have struggled so far this season. The loss at Arrowhead is the second straight for the Chiefs, and they barely pulled away from the Cleveland Browns in Week 1.

The Chargers were +240 at WynnBET on the moneyline, marking one of the biggest upsets in the NFL this season. Underdogs have dominated in the first few weeks, and the Chargers were able to do their part to keep that trend going in Week 3.
