Two AFC West teams who impressed in Week 1, will meet on Thursday Night Football in Week 2.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Los Angeles Chargers, in a battle that will set the tone in the division for weeks to come.

The two teams have split their series the past two seasons. Kansas City took home the victory in the latest meeting, beating the Chargers by a final score of 34-28 in overtime back on December 16th of last year.

Let's dive into the odds via FanDuel for this Thursday night marquee matchup.

Chargers vs. Chiefs Odds, Spread, and Total

  • Chiefs are 8-1 SU in last nine home games.
  • Chiefs are 1-4 ATS in last five games played in September.

Chargers vs. Chiefs Prediction and Pick

After all the offseason hype, it's time to see if Justin Herbert and the Chargers can live up to expectations.

They'll have a big hill to climb, as the Chiefs looked like they didn't skip a beat offensively, racking up 488 yards of offense in Week 1 against the Cardinals.

I think the line is set at the right number of -3.5 in favor of the Chiefs, so instead, I'm going to look at the total. You can't look past just how dominant the Chiefs offense looked in Week 1. If they have a performance that even remotely mimics the numbers they put up in their opening game, that will play a big part in the OVER hitting in this one.

I still believe the Chiefs defense is susceptible. They looked fine against the Cardinals, but now they play a much more dynamic and explosive offense in the Chargers, Let's not forget this Chiefs defense ranked in the bottom five in most areas last season. Sure, they might not be quite as bad, but I still have faith Los Angeles can score.

Let's sit back and root for the over in this prime time showdown.
