The Week 6 showdown between the Chargers and Ravens is a massive chance for Los Angeles to continue ascending the AFC ladder. The current state of the Chargers offense is very impressive and while the defense did make Cleveland look like the Buccaneers, they make plays when needed.

Baltimore, meanwhile, is coming off a hard-fought win over the Indianapolis Colts Monday night, extending their win streak to four.

Here are the betting odds for the Week 6 matchup via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Chargers vs Ravens Betting Trends

  • The Chargers have covered the spread in 8 of their last 9 games.
  • The total is 4-1 for the UNDER in LA’s last five games.
  • The Chargers have covered just two of their last seven games against the Ravens.

Perhaps the most important part of LA winning this game is their ability to stop the run. Something they failed to do much of Sunday against the Browns. Cleveland was able to run for 230 yards on 35 attempts. Good for an average of 6.6 yards per carry. After that sad performance, the Chargers now rank dead last in the league in terms of opponent rushing yards per game at 157.6. For comparison, the top-ranked Buccaneers allow just 45.8 rushing yards per game.

This makes capping this game difficult because for a team as good as the Chargers, +3.5 seems like an early Christmas present. Especially considering the Ravens will be playing on a short week after last night’s win. But this matchup is a brutal one for any team that struggles to defend the run. For reference, Baltimore ranks 4th in the NFL in rushing yards per game with 148.8.

As much as I want to trust LA here, the fact that they are going against the NFL’s leading rusher among quarterbacks is worrying. I expect that the Ravens will use this game plan and try to run over the Chargers. At this point, LA has yet to prove they can stop such an attack.

Best Bet: Ravens -3 (-110)
