Chiefs Get COVID-19 Updates on Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce Ahead of Steelers Game
By Ben Heisler
It's strange to ever say a team may have gotten lucky with a COVID-19 diagnosis, but in the case of the Kansas City Chiefs, it may actually hold up.
The Chiefs had placed more than 10 players in the COVID-19 protocol at the beginning of the week, but it appears two of their top playmakers on offense could be be back in uniform ahead of their Sunday afternoon matchup at Arrowhead Stadium vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Via NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, both Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce are likely to be cleared off the COVID-19 reserve list on Saturday, with Hill officially passing protocol. Kelce has not been cleared as of yet, according to Rapoport's source, but if he is cleared, this is the next step in the process.
The Chiefs opened up the week as 10.5-point favorites at WynnBET Sportsbook over the Steelers. Since that time, the line has only moved a half point over at WynnBET to Chiefs -10. The total, meanwhile, has crept down from the opening line of 46.5 to 45.
Both teams come into the matchup red-hot in two different betting trends that will go head to head against each other. Kansas City, after starting 2-7 against the spread has covered in five consecutive games. Meanwhile, the Steelers under Mike Tomlin are 45-24-3 as an underdog, covering 65.2% of those games.
If you're still on the fence about the traditional betting options, and are looking for a different kind of bet to make, consider this first half wager from BetSided's Matt De Saro.
