Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will have a chance to get their revenge from last season's AFC CHampionship game when they head to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.

In what will come as bad news for Chiefs fans and bettors, Ja'Marr Chase is expected to return to action for the first time since Week 7.

So, how should we go about betting on this game? Let's dive into the odds and then I'll give you my best bet.

Chiefs vs. Bengals Prediction and Pick

I like the Bengals, I think they have some value in the futures department right now, but I just can’t back them at this current number. The Chiefs have taken over as the best team in the NFL in net yards per play. Cincinnati has improved throughout the season, but it's sitting at 13th in that statistic heading into this week.

One thing about the Chiefs that we do need need to pay attention to is their red zone defense. It's the same issue they had last season. They rank dead last in the NFL in red zone defense, allowing teams to score a touchdown on 70.59% of their red zone trips. That’s not good.

If the Bengals win this game, I guarantee red zone efficiency will play a role in it. Bengals are second in red zone offense and sixth in red zone defense.

With that being said, the Chiefs offense has been getting 7.2 yards per play over their last three games. That’s insane clip and I can't resist backing them as favorites of less than a field goal. If the spread surpasses the magic number of three, I might reconsider.
