Chiefs vs. Colts Best Prop Bets for NFL Week 3 (Death, Taxes, and Gus Bradley Running Single High)
By Josh Yourish
The Kansas City Chiefs are rolling as they face the Indianapolis Colts who are 0-1-1. Chiefs -5.5 is the rat line of all rat lines, so if that has scared you off of a side in this game, then maybe you’ll feel a little safer with a few prop bets, so here are some of my favorites for you.
Best Prop Bets For Chiefs vs. Colts
- Patrick Mahomes Over 2.5 Passing Touchdowns
- Clyde Edwards-Helaire Under 45.5 Rushing Yards
- Marquez Valdes-Scantling Over 40.5 Receiving Yards
Patrick Mahomes OVER 2.5 Passing Touchdowns
This is no longer the Matt Eberflus keep everything in front of you defense that we had been used to with the Colts. Oh no, it’s Gus Bradley time baby. If we know anything to be a certainty in life it’s death, taxes, and Gus Bradley running Cover 3. He lives and dies with a single high safety and when he faces Patrick Mahomes, he dies.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire UNDER 45.5 Rushing Yards
Because of that single high safety, Edwards-Helaire will have a tough time on the ground. Last week against the Chargers who do everything in a two high defense, CHE only ran the ball nine times. He gained 74 yards on those touches, but that won’t happen against the Colts who give up the second lowest yard per carry in the NFL.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling OVER 40.5 Receiving Yards
We have seen Justin Watson become the deep threat for Patrick Mahomes this year, but I don’t think that is by design. MVS was brought in because of his ability as a run blocker and his ability to catch passes down the field. With just one safety deep we are going to see MVS one-on-one down the sideline more often than not and it might just take one catch for go over 40.5 this week.
