The Kansas City Chiefs showed us last week that while they may be down, they are not quite out. The reigning AFC champions have looked like anything but, with a 5-4 record, but could surprise us all when the regular season standings are final.

In Week 10, the Chiefs head to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders for Sunday Night Football at Allegiant Field. The Chiefs are coming off a big win over the Packers 13-7 in an oddly defensive battle.

Meanwhile, the Raiders coughed up an ugly loss to the New York Giants 23-16 at the Meadowlands. Despite a strong start to the year, it seems that all of the things working against the Raiders are finally catching up.

This is a classic case of two teams heading in the opposite direction. So, can the Chiefs maintain their momentum with a win and cover in Week 10?

Here are the odds for this Week 10 matchup between these AFC rivals, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Chiefs vs. Raiders Prediction and Pick

The AFC West is going to come down to the wire and is very tight right now. All four teams in the division head into Week 10 with five wins each. Los Angeles and Las Vegas are 5-3 while Kansas City and Denver are 5-4. The major issue for KC in this standing is their sad 1-4 record in conference play. The Raiders are 4-1 for reference. So, a win here from the Chiefs will go that much further in helping them claw their way back into the playoffs.

The Raiders have done well by leaning on QB Derek Carr, but that plan fell apart last week in New Jersey. Carr was intercepted twice and threw just one touchdown. The Raiders running game isn’t that strong and left their offense in major trouble. The fact is, the Raiders don’t have what it takes to win against good teams if Carr has an off game.

The Chiefs’ offense is also struggling which is a problem because their defense is terrible. Getting to play the Packers without Rodgers last week was a blessing for this team that really needed a lucky break. It allowed them to grow their win streak to three games and put them back in the mix in the division. The Chiefs still have a lot to work out but it does appear that they are in better shape heading into Week 10 than the Raiders.

KC has the momentum and I think things are just beginning to fall apart in Las Vegas. I think this is just the next step for the Chiefs in what could be a very strong second half to their season.
