Chris Eubanks vs. Daniil Medvedev prediction and pick
Eubanks is a nice story, but he hasn't faced a player with the returning prowess that Medvedev has. The Russian has broken his opponent's serve on north of 23% of games in 59 grass matches ahead of this grand slam, and is not going to squander as many break points as Tsitpas did in the round of 16.
Eubanks faced 13 break points in the prior matches, saving eight of them. However, he was able to find answers against Tsitsipas' second serve and generate three breaks of serve. However, it wasn't all pretty, as he committed 56 unforced errors in the process. While the American crushed 53 winners, the defensive maestro Medvedev will pose a far tougher test against Eubanks with his ability to return and drag rallies to an uncomfortable length.
After winning in only two sets after his opponent retired, Medvedev enters as arguably the freshest man at the All England Club. With Eubanks coming off the biggest victory of his career, I think we see a hangover and for the Russian to pull away and win comfortably.
PICK: Medvedev -5.5 Games (+104)
