Clemson vs. Boston College Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 6
By Reed Wallach
Clemson maintained their sterling record on the season by defeating North Carolina State on Saturday, but can they avoid a letdown game against Boston College, who may be piecing together their offense?
BC is led by NFL prospects quarterback Phil Jurkovec and wide receiver Zay Flowers, but the talent hasn't translated into wins, sitting at 2-3. However, the team looked the part at home last week against Louisville, defeating the Cardinals 34-33 in a thrilling conference matchup.
What can we expect on Saturday night in the 'Red Bandana Game' hosted by Boston College each year. Will the Eagles keep pace with a potential College Football Playoff team in Clemson?

Clemson vs. Boston College Prediction and Pick
This number feels right, but things can be difficult for the BC offense that has the worst offensive line yard metric in the country. The team has allowed 18 sacks this season, which is bottom 10 nationally. This is a problem against the Clemson defensive that is among the best in the country and just shut down the NC State offense last week to 20 points. Overall, Clemson is 13th in defensive line yards, but will be without key cog Bryan Breese on Saturday.
If BC can give Jurkovec any sort of time, the team can hit deep pass similar to Wake Forest did against Clemson two weeks ago. The Tigers have a green secondary and the Eagles are top 10 in explosive pass rate.
For what it's worth Clemson has played two of the toughest ACC foes the past two weeks and host a ranked foe in Syracuse next weekend, there may not be a ton of interest in running up the score on Saturday in Chestnut Hill.
While it's a narrative-focused part of the handicap, Boston College does get up for the Red Bandana Game as I alluded to above and believe that around the key number of +21, I'd play the hosts or pass on the game.
