Clemson vs Georgia Tech Prediction and Odds (Take Yellow Jackets to Cover Large Road Spread)
By Joe Summers
The 11-18 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets bring a three-game losing streak into their matchup with Clemson tonight as they take on the 14-15 Tigers at 7:00 p.m. EST.
Despite their losing streak, Georgia Tech has covered the spread in three of its last four and hopes for a similar result to their 69-64 victory over the Tigers last month.
Clemson, meanwhile, has bounced back from a six-game losing streak to win two in a row. Will the Tigers make it three straight at home or does value lie with the Yellow Jackets to keep it close?

Georgia Tech vs Clemson Prediction and Pick
This line is way too big. Just last month, Georgia Tech was a 2.5-point underdog at home to Clemson and won. Now I'm supposed to believe Clemson's home-court advantage is worth five-and-a-half points to the spread? Absolutely not.
The Yellow Jackets have won four of the last five in this matchup and the one they lost was only by two. Prior to their two-game winning streak, the Tigers were 1-4-1 against the spread (ATS) in their previous six and have lost three straight outright as a favorite.
Georgia Tech is not a good team, by any means, but they have the 77th-best defense in adjusted efficiency thanks to an 11.6% steal percentage, good for the 85th-percentile nationally. They forced 18 turnovers against Clemson in the first matchup and I expect them to hound the Tigers' ball-handlers once again.
The Tigers have covered just once in their last four at home while the Yellow Jackets have covered two of three on the road. Even more convincing is how bad Clemson's defense has been lately. They're in the 6th percentile in defensive rating over their last five games and I think Georgia Tech is due for positive shooting regression.
Clemson allowed the Yellow Jackets to shoot 10-for-25 from beyond the arc in that first game and while I don't think Georgia Tech will be that hot, they won't need to be in order to cover such a large spread. At this point, the Tigers shouldn't be favored by eight against almost anyone, let alone a team that already beat them this year.
Pick: Georgia Tech +8 (-110)
