Clemson vs. Pittsburgh Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 8
By Thomas Snodgrass
The Clemson Tigers will visit Heinz Field on Saturday to face the Pittsburgh Panthers in an ACC Conference matchup.
Clemson picked up a narrow three-point win over the Syracuse Orange last week, 17-14, to improve to 4-2 on the season. Tigers’ quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei continued his underwhelming campaign by completing 21 of his 34 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.
Pittsburgh picked up their fifth win of the season over the Virginia Tech Hokies in Week 7, winning 28-7. The Panthers led Virginia Tech 21-0 at halftime and their defense held down the lead.
Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns and running back Israel Abanikanda rushed for 140 yards on 21 carries.

Clemson vs. Pittsburgh Prediction and Pick
Pitt has one of the best offenses in the country. The Panthers are averaging 48.3 points per game and much of that has to do with Pickett at quarterback.
Pickett has thrown 21 touchdown passes this season and only one interception. Clemson has not played against many pass-first offenses this season, and should have its hands full with Pittsburgh this weekend.
The Tigers' lackluster passing offense is averaging just 180.3 passing yards per game. If Clemson leans on its rushing attack (142 rushing yards per game), it will struggle to gain yards against the Panthers’ rushing defense (100.2 rushing yards allowed per game).
This Tigers team is not what it used to be. Clemson is trending down and Pittsburgh is trending up. The Panthers stunned No. 2 Clemson in 2016, winning 43-42. Pittsburgh will win again this week, but it just won't mean as much against this version of the Tigers.
I’m taking Pittsburgh at -3.5 and on the moneyline at -160.
