The South Carolina Gamecocks are going bowling! Just one year removed from having an abysmal 2-8 season, South Carolina secured its sixth win of its 2021-22 campaign by upsetting the Auburn Tigers which has secured the Gamecocks a spot in a bowl game.

They'll finish their regular season off with a game against their in-state rival, the Clemson Tigers. Can they defeat a "Tigers" team for the third straight week?

Clemson is locked into a bowl game, but its hopes of playing in the ACC Championship Game for the seventh straight season hangs in the balance of other team's results. Clemson can do nothing else to clinch a spot in the championship game, as their conference schedule is wrapped up. They need both Wake Forest and NC State to lose in the final week in order to secure a berth in the Championship Game.

Clemson vs. South Carolina Prediction and Pick

Despite playing in separate conferences, these two South Carolina teams are nearly identical when it comes to offensive success. The two schools rank 100th and 101st in offensive yards per play. Where there's a significant difference is on the defensive side of the football.

Clemson's defense ranks among the best in college football, allowing the sixth fewest yards per play at 4.4. Meanwhile, South Carolina's defense isn't quite as staunch. The Gamecocks rank 72nd in opponent yards per play at 5.6.

Clemson's record against the spread this season is certainly less than stellar, but its defense should carry them to a strong finish to its regular season. I'll back the Tigers to cover the spread.

Pick: Clemson -10.5
