The Los Angeles Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves meet for the second time in three days, the Clippers besting the Timberwolves at home 126-115 on Wednesday night.

Los Angeles will try to make it two in a row over Minnesota at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

The Clippers will play again tonight without forwards Serge Ibaka and Marcus Morris, and of course, no Kawhi Leonard. The Timberwolves will be without point guard D’Angelo Russell, so former-Clipper Patrick Beverly will man the point tonight for head coach Chris Finch’s offense.

Clippers vs. Timberwolves Prediction and Pick

Statistically, these two teams play a very similar style on the court. They play at the exact same pace, Los Angeles scores on average just one more point per game, Minnesota allows on average just over one more point per game, the Clippers score 41 percent of their points from three-pointers, the Timberwolves score 39.6 percent of their points from three.

In the last contest between these two teams, Los Angeles had a shooting percentage of 60 percent. That is unsustainably high.

When the Clippers’ shooting percentage naturally regresses tonight, I like Minnesota’s chances at home.

Patrick Beverly is a wild card at point for the Timberwolves, and his matchup against Reggie Jackson will be an interesting one, but Karl-Anthony Towns should be able to improve upon his 6-of-16 shooting on Wednesday.

I’m going to take Minnesota, because I don’t see them taking a two game sweep at home from a Clippers’ team that overperformed in their previous matchup.
