Clippers vs. Timberwolves Prediction and Odds: Injury Woes are Mounting for Both Teams
By Matt De Saro
To say that the Clippers are off to a bad start this season would be an understatement. They are 2-4 as of Wednesday morning and in fifth place in the Pacific Division. They will try to kick-start things tonight against the Timberwolves on the road as slight 1-point favorites.
The Clippers are coming off their second win of the season against the Thunder on the back of Paul George. George totaled 32 points and had nine rebounds in 40 minutes on the court. With injuries to Serge Ibaka, Marcus Morris, and Kawhi Leonard, George is going to have to have another game like that tonight if the Clippers hope to win.
The Timberwolves, meanwhile, are coming off back-to-back losses against the Magic and Nuggets that dropped them to 3-3 on the season. The T-Wolves are also dealing with some injury woes with D’Angelo Russell already ruled out for tonight and Patrick Beverly listed as questionable.

Clippers vs. Timberwolves Prediction and Pick
Despite the Clippers being favored at home, this feels like another let-down game for the struggling team. They are near the bottom of the league in points allowed at 103 and points scored at 102.2 per game.
However, with Beverly and Russell out, the Wolves are taking the court very shorthanded tonight at guard. But, something about the way this Clippers team looks doesn’t feel quite right. I realize that they are missing some key players, including their best player, but the other guys haven’t stepped up in the way I thought they would and I don’t see that changing overnight.
It’s hard to bet either team with all that much confidence considering the injuries and sub-par play, so I’m going to roll with the UNDER tonight. Aside from Paul George, there will be no significant scoring threat on the court to push the total over.
Pick: Clippers vs Timberwolves UNDER 214.0
