College basketball season is in full swing and we always are combing through the nightly slate to find the best bets on the board.

Friday is a short slate, but there are some high major matchups including Louisville-DePaul for our viewing pleasure.

Here are a pair of bets for a short Friday night slate, which you can also find here in real time and have additional plays.

Column Record: 5-5 (-.0.5 units)

DePaul vs. Louisville UNDER 147 (-105)

I broke down this game in full here, but I see the DePaul offense struggling in their first road game of the season.

After facing an easy schedule to start the year, the Blue Demons only scored 62 points against Loyola Chicago last week. While the Ramblers are an elite defense, Louisville is a serious step up from the cupcake schedule that DePaul has faced to date.

On top of that, the Cardinals have been unable to get going from deep and will be facing a stingy DePaul defense. I see a sloppy, low scoring affair.

Appalachian State (+8) vs. Furman

This is a great spot for App State, who hasn't played a D-1 foe since last Monday. They will be traveling to face a high octane Furman offense that may be running out of steam after a grueling stretch of games. The Paladins are No. 60 in KenPom's offensive efficiency metric, but are outside the top 200 on the defensive side.

Further, Furman is coming off of two overtime games since last Tuesday and the other was an up-and-down road loss to Winthrop on Tuesday. I struggle to see Furman closing out Appalachian State, who is top 40 in limiting turnovers, given their defensive short comings.
