The Trevor Lawrence-era in Clemson and the ACC is over, but does that mean a new team will take over the conference's top spot?

The Clemson Tigers have won six straight ACC Championships dating back to 2015, and they also hold the record for most ACC football championships in conference history with 20.

Clemson Could Run the Table in the ACC Once Again

Not only is Clemson set as a massive -450 favorite (81.82% implied probability) to win the ACC, but it is predicted to have a chance to run the table in the conference. WynnBET has set its win total for the regular season at 11.5, with the over set at +115 odds.

That’s saying a lot, especially considering the Tigers are set to take on the SEC powerhouse Georgia Bulldogs in Week 1 of the season. We won’t have to wait long to see just how good the Miami Hurricanes are in 2021, as they are set to face the defending national champion Alabama Crimson Tide in Week 1. Miami is set as a sizable 17-point underdog, but if it can keep it close with Alabama, Clemson may need to take the Hurricanes more seriously.

People are expecting big things from the UNC Tar Heels, who were ranked No. 10 in the AP Top 25 preseason poll. With starting quarterback Sam Howell returning, the Tar Heels could be a serious contender in the conference. They will avoid Clemson in the regular season, but a pivotal game against Miami on Oct. 16 could determine whether or not they’ll have a berth in the ACC Championship Game.
