College Football Odds: Alabama, Coastal Carolina and UNC Expected Highest Scoring Teams in Week 5

The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide and No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels face off this week in a battle of SEC foes. Last time these two squared up the total on the scoreboard hit 111 points, with Alabama walking away winners, 63-48.
It’s Bryce Young vs. Matt Corral, so there will be some offense, but I believe that Nick Saban prides himself on the quality of his defense too. Which is why Ole Miss being the highest scoring team in Week 5 has odds of +50000.
Alabama allowed a season-high 29 points last week to the Florida Gators, which isn’t too bad, but the Rebels may have to hit the high 40’s on the scoreboard again to pull off the upset.
Ole Miss allowed a season-high of 24 points to Louisville in Week 1, but in all fairness have only played FCS Austin Peay and Tulane since. The Rebels will be giving up a lot of points to the Crimson Tide. So many points that Alabama could be the highest scoring team in Week 5?

Also at +800 are the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, with a tasty matchup to put up big offensive numbers against the UL-Monroe Warhawks. The porous passing defense of UL-Monroe will be picked apart by Chanticleers quarterback Grayson McCall. Kentucky put up a season-high 45 points on the Warhawks in Week 1, and with two 50-point games, and a 49-point game this season, Coastal Carolina can go even higher.
There is one more team at the top at +800, and that is the North Carolina Tar Heels. North Carolina will go against their rival, the Duke Blue Devils, in what will be a high-scoring matchup. Both offenses have played well, and both defenses have not, a perfect recipe for points.
The Tar Heels did post back-to-back victories this year where they put 59 points up on the scoreboard.
