Penn State at Iowa (-1) | Total 42.5

THE PLAY: UNDER 42.5

I’m looking at the Penn State-Iowa total. At 42.5, it is a low total, but I’m not afraid of it. Iowa ranks fourth in the country in opponent yards per play (4.0) , while Penn State ranks ninth (4.2.). This is a matchup between two of the very best defenses in the entire country. Also, neither of these teams have an explosive offense, especially Iowa. The Hawkeyes rank 102nd in the country in offensive yards per play. The under is 4-1 for both teams heading into this game so I’m going to ride that trend to continue. -- Iain MacMillan

Oklahoma at Texas (-3.5) | Total 63.0

THE PLAY: Texas ML/ OVER 63.0

I went to the University of Texas for college and there is no way I’m picking Oklahoma this week. The Sooners are 1-4 against the spread and haven’t looked impressive all season long. The Red River Showdown is always a close game and Oklahoma has been spared one too many times this year.

Also, Bijan Robinson is a legit Heisman candidate. Robinson ran for over 200 yards last week and is averaging over 6.0 yards per carry this season. Texas is going to hop on his back and hope he takes them to a victory, and I believe he will. The Longhorns haven’t won this matchup since 2018, but they also haven’t had the best player on the field in a while.

LSU at Kentucky (-3) | Total 51.0

THE PLAY: Kentucky -3

I’m going to roll with the Wildcats in this one. Kentucky’s coming off a huge win against Florida in Week 5 and LSU is coming off a horrible loss against Auburn. The Tigers needed to win that game if they wanted any chance of competing in the SEC this year. LSU’s season is reeling right now and it’s going to be facing a Kentucky defense that’s fifth in the country against FBS schools in yards per game.

The Wildcats have been riding Chris Rodriguez all season long and LSU allows over 121 yards per game. Kentucky is 4-1 against the spread this season and it’s at home. With a matchup against Georgia next week, a win this week will have the Wildcats' confidence sky-high.  -- Peter Dewey

Eastern Carolina at UCF (-11) | Total 66.0

THE PLAY: ECU +11

This play is about the uncertainty on the UCF side. Dylan Gabriel broke his collarbone a few weeks ago and is out for the year, which made them go with freshman Mikey Keane. UCF gave up 17 unanswered points to lose to Navy last week. They were also without Isaiah Bowser and starting wide receiver Jalen Robinson.

Eastern Carolina is 3-2 and just hung 52 against Tulane. The Pirates’ two losses aren’t as bad as you’d think, losing to Appalachian State and South Carolina. I just don’t know what you’re getting with UCF so I'll take the volatility and the unknowns with ECU. -- Reed Wallach

Michigan State at Rutgers (+5) | Total 51.5

THE PLAY: Rutgers +5

I really like Rutgers to bounce back. Rutgers had a bad loss last week against Ohio State, but they get a great chance to rebound against the Michigan State Spartans. Rutgers was 4-1 against the spread prior to the Ohio State game and its defense has had some great moments throughout the season. The Scarlet Knights beat the Spartans 38-27 last season, and I think they can get five-points and cover this week. -- Ben Heisler
