College Football Power Rankings Based on National Championship Odds (Georgia is Best Team in Country)
By Reed Wallach
Following the chaos of Week 2, Week 3 held a bit more form with the top teams flexing their muscles against differing competition.
The biggest statement made was No. 1 Georgia, who opened SEC play in dominant fashion. Meanwhile, the likes of Alabama and Ohio State beat up on inferior non conference. What other moves were made across the country?
Let's take a look at the National Championship odds and power rank all the top 25 teams in the nation.
1. Georgia (+180)
The Bulldogs opened SEC play up with a bang, dominating South Carolina on the road, 48-7.
Stetson Bennett was lights out in the blowout win, completing 16-of-23 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns, confirming that the Bulldogs are the No. 1 team in the country again.
Next game: Kent State
2. Alabama (+200)
It was business as usual for the Crimson Tide, who were near-50-point favorites on Saturday at home against Louisiana-Monroe. Alabama rolled, 63-7, behind a fantastic game from Bryce Young.
