Colorado State vs. Wyoming Prediction and Odds (Cowboys The Easy Bet)
By Reed Wallach
Wyoming and Colorado State meet in a battle of Mountain West's elite on Monday night.
The MWC is quietly emerging as a Cinderella breeding ground for the NCAA Tournament with several teams in the mix for at-large bids come Selection Sunday.
These two clubs are in second and third in league play, trailing undefeated Boise State, but would love to get a signature win over each other to bolster their Tournament standing.
Here are the odds for this Mountain West clash from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Colorado State vs. Wyoming Prediction and Pick
As I mentioned on today's Bet & Breakfast (which you can find below), I like this matchup for Wyoming quite a bit. I make the Cowboys north of 2-point favorites and believe that in a battle of the top two offenses in MWC play, the home team should pull this one out.
Wyoming has a swiss army knife in Hunter Maldonaldo. At 6'6", he is the team's primary ball handler and is adept at beating his man off the bounce and getting inside. He, along with 6'9" brute Graham Ike, put a ton of pressure on the rim for the Wyoming offense. The Colorado State defense is solid at limiting points in the paint, but one of their best defenders John Tonje has been hurt the past few games; he was a non-factor in the highly concerning home loss to UNLV on Friday night.
While the hosts like to generate their points from the inside, they are a strong three-point shooting team, hitting on nearly 35% of their shots from deep and north of 38% in conference play.
I expect both offenses to thrive in this one as Colorado State posts a top five effective field goal percentage in the country, but I'm concerned about their defense traveling well after allowing 88 at home to UNLV. Not to mention, the physical Wyoming offense is top 10 nationally in free throw rate.
Since a near-month long COVID pause, Colorado State has been a bit shaky, including a 30-point loss on the road against San Diego State. On the other hand, Wyoming has been much more consistent in league play with their only loss coming to Boise State on the road last week by three.
I see the Cowboys as the better team right now and will play them up to -1.5.
PICK: Wyoming ML -105, play to -1.5 (-105)
