Colorado vs. Stanford Prediction and Odds (Buffaloes are Attractive Road Dogs Tonight)
By Matt De Saro
Pac-12 action heats up on Saturday night when the Colorado Buffaloes and the Stanford Cardinal face-off at the Maples Pavilion. Colorado enters this match as one of the hottest teams in the conference with a four-game winning streak. Their last game, a 70-62 win over California moves their record up to 17-9 and they currently rank fifth in the Pac-12.
Colorado put up 42 points in the second half of that game and looks to be dialed in right now with a 3-1 ATS record in their last four. Things have been quite different at Stanford with the Cardinal losing three of their last four with a 5-5 ATS record in their last 10. Here are the odds for this Pac-12 rivalry, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
Colorado vs. Stanford Odds, Spread, and Total
Spread:
- Colorado +2.5 (-110)
- Stanford -2.5 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Colorado +125
- Stanford -150
Total: 134 (Over -110/Under -110)
Colorado vs. Stanford Prediction and Pick
As far as the big stats go, overall offense and defense, Colorado ranks significantly higher than Stanford in both with the 164th ranked offense and 85th ranked defense. Stanford ranks 246th and 138th in those categories respectively.
When games have a tight spread like this, it helps to look at the little things that each team does well. For example, free-throw shooting, rebounding, turnovers, and fouls. Luckily for those of us who like to bet underdogs, Colorado holds an edge in most of those metrics as well. The Buffaloes rank higher in defensive rebounds per game, blocked shots, and personal fouls per game. However, the most glaring discrepancy has to be these two teams’ free throw shooting percentage. While the Cardinal ranks 328th in the nation and is one of the worst teams from the charity stripe at 66.5 percent the Buffaloes are among the best at 51st.
Based on this information, I am a little surprised to see Buffalo as underdogs but am happy to grab the extra value on betting them tonight.
Pick: Colorado +125 to win
