Jim Irsay has lost his mind. All of the goodwill he built up in the public for pressuring Dan Snyder to sell the Commanders, he immediately spent up by hiring Jeff Saturday as his interim head coach. You might be thinking, “didn’t I see Jeff Saturday on SportsCenter last week? I didn’t know he was on the Colts staff.” That’s because he was on SportsCenter and wasn’t on the coaching staff.

Yet, he still might be a better head coach than Josh McDaniels is. The Raiders fell to 2-6 after a 27-20 loss to Jacksonville last week and are easily one of the most disappointing teams in football.

The Raiders opened as 2 point favorites, but are now up to 4.5 with the firing of Frank Reich. The total has also come down from 43 to 41.

Colts vs. Raiders Prediction and Best Bet

Josh McDaniels might be a bad coach, but at least he spent his week game planning, not introducing himself to the team. However, The Raiders have had their share of bad luck this week with Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow both getting placed on IR. Vegas is not a good football team, that we know for sure and Josh McDaniels might be following Frank Reich to an early vacation if this continues.

On the other side, I have no idea how this Jeff Saturday experiment will work.

I have to imagine the team isn’t thrilled to have a former Colt show up out of nowhere to take over the team and skip over all of the assistants on that staff. Not to mention how mad Gus Bradley or John Fox have to be. Both are former head coaches that were skipped for the interim job. Yet, I find myself leaning towards Indianapolis in this one. Who knows what will happen to the Colts, but I already know for a fact that McDaniels and the Raiders are terrible. I wouldn’t go crazy on this one, maybe a half unit, but betting Indy is just more fun.
