The Week 5 edition of NFL Monday Night Football will feature an AFC matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens.

The Colts will enter the game coming off their first win of the season, upsetting the Miami Dolphins 27-17 in Week 4. Meanwhile, the Ravens have won three straight games after losing to the Raiders in the opening week. Their latest win game in Denver, beating the Broncos 23-7 in Week 4.

Colts vs Ravens Prediction and Pick

I’m staying away from the spread, and looking at the total instead. I’m backing the OVER 47.5 in this Monday Night Football showdown.

Neither defense has been particularly impressive this season, as they’re tied for 20th in the NFL in opponent yards per play at 5.8. Despite the Ravens shutting down the Broncos offense last week, that was largely due to their starting quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater, going down with a concussion in the first half.

Both offenses also lean towards the run, and neither defense is in the top 10 in run defense. They rank 14th and 15th in opponent yards per carry.

Carson Wentz and the Colts offense also seemed to find their stride in Week 4 against the Dolphins, and I expect that to carry into Week 5. Give me the OVER 47.5 on Monday Night Football.
