Commanders vs. Texans Prediction: Heinicke Will Add Another Pair of Jordans to the Collection
By Josh Yourish
Taylor Heinicke is the man in Washington. That is not a question anymore, he has this team at 5-5 after knocking off the Eagles on Monday Night football, and there is no way that Ron Rivera can ever put Carson Wentz back out on the field.
This week Heinicke will try to go 4-1 since taking over as the starter. For every win, Heinicke gets a new pair of Jordans in the color of the team he beats. His shoe closet might keep filling up as the Commanders are favorites on the road against the Houston Texans.

Commanders vs. Texans Prediction and Pick
Davis Mills might be the most boring quarterback in the NFL. He was decent in his rookie year, but hasn’t really taken any step in his second season to give hope to Houston fans. The Texans will be ready to move on in the offseason and they’ll likely have the first pick to do so. The real bright spot on the Houston offense is Dameon Pierce and he will have to carry Lovie Smith's team if they’re going to beat Washington.
I do think there is a chance for Washington to take a step back. They’re coming in on a short week and they’ve had to do a lot of work to get back to .500 on the season. However, Washington beat Philadelphia with the run game. They ran for 152 yards as a team and Brian Robinson went for 86 yards on 26 attempts. It wasn’t explosive, but they kept pounding away and Houston has the worst run defense in the NFL, by opponent rushing yards per game. They allow 181.8 rush yards per game.
I’m not going to overthink this one, instead I’ll take the better team which is clearly the Commanders.
Pick: Commanders -160
