Back Cowboys to End Impressive Jaguars Betting Trend in Jacksonville

The Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars both come off wins in Week 14, and are looking to make a push going into the playoffs when the two teams meet in Jacksonville on Sunday.

The Jaguars would need to win out to have a realistic chance, but that will be tough going against the Cowboys – who have won four straight games.

Jacksonville has gone 3-0 this season as a home underdog. As a +176 moneyline dog this week, can the Jaguars make that a 4-0 record?

Dallas started as 5.5-point favorites and has been moved down to a 4-point favorite. The total has gone up from 46.5 to 47.5.

Dallas survived its trap game against the Houston Texans, and the Cowboys will be ready for the Jaguars this week. 

Outside of their first win against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cowboys have won each of their games by at least four points. They are third in points per game and opponent points per game, while also being top five in yards allowed. Dallas’ defense is one of the main reasons the Cowboys are contenders in the NFC, and it should show up against a Jaguars team that is just 15th in points per game. 

The strength of Jacksonville’s offense is the ground game, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. Dallas is improved in that area, jumping up to 18th in the league in opponent yards per carry. As for the passing game, Jacksonville is 15th in yards per pass while the Cowboys are 4th in opponent yards per pass. 

Across the board, Dallas has the advantage. The Jaguars are inconsistent and haven’t covered in a loss this season. Therefore, I’m taking the Cowboys on the spread.
