The Dallas Cowboys will get their second look at some preseason action when they take on the Arizona Cardinals on Friday night.

Dallas sat many of its key players, including quarterback Dak Prescott, in the Hall of Fame Gameagainst the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The offense was non-existent in that contest, as Dallas scored just three points in a 16-3 loss. With Prescott dealing with a shoulder injury and Amari Cooper just getting activated off of the physically unable to perform list, I don’t expect Mike McCarthy to be in any rush to throw his starters out there in Friday’s matchup.

As for the Cardinals, they will be getting their first preseason action of the year and head coach Kliff Kingsbury expects his starters to be out there for some period of time.

With Kyler Murray and company guaranteed to at least see the field, here’s how the odds line up at WynnBET for Friday’s matchup:

Cowboys vs. Cardinals Spread, Odds and Over/Under

Spread:

Cardinals -1.5 (-110)

Cowboys +1.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

Cardinals: -125

Cowboys: +105

Over/Under: 39.5 (Over: -110/Under: -110)

Cardinals vs. Cowboys Betting Trends

  • Dallas hit the under in its first preseason matchup and did not cover the spread against Pittsburgh.
  • Kliff Kingsbury’s Cardinals are 1-3 against the spread in the preseason and have hit the under in three of those games.
  • Mike McCarthy’s teams are 26-25-2 against the spread in the preseason in his career.
  • The Cowboys have scored over 20 points in just two of their last nine preseason games.

Cardinals vs. Cowboys Prediction and Pick

With Arizona already announcing that it will roll out some starters, I love the Cardinals to win this game and cover the 1.5-point spread.

Dallas’ offense looked stagnant with its backups against the Steelers, and the Cowboys would be smart not to rush any of their banged up stars into action for a preseason game.

I’m also going to roll with the under, as the total of 39.5 seems a bit high given the fact that the Cowboys scored just three points last Thursday.

Kingsbury’s teams haven’t hit the over much in his preseason career, and Arizona actually scored less than 20 points three times and less than 10 points twice during the 2019 preseason.

Picks: Cardinals -1.5 (-110) and UNDER 39.5 points (-110)
