A somewhat surprising quarterfinals goes down on Wednesday.

Nick Kyrgios has used his massive serve to take down the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas en route to his first Wimbledon quarterfinals since 2014. He now faces Cristian Garin, who is typically known for his play on clay, but has shown a ton of talent during this fortnight, now in position for his first ever semifinals at Wimbledon.

Here are the odds for this showdown from WynnBET Sportsbook

  • Kyrgios: -5.5 (+100)

Total: 36.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Christian Garin vs. Nick Kyrgios Prediction and Pick

Kyrgios hinted that he may have some shoulder discomfort, but downplayed the ailment. Overall, his serve still looked on point in his five set victory over Brandon Nakashima in the Round of 16, but it bares watching in the quarters if he can hold up.

He will face a fantastic returner in Garin, who stormed back to knock off Alex De Minaur in five sets last round. Garin, created 22 break chances against a formidable opponent in De Minaur, but may not have as many opportunities against Kyrgios' massive serve.

However, Garin has shown the meddle to hold up if this match goes the distance. Kyrgios went five sets after an underwhelming start, and injury concerns are starting to creep in. While the Australian is the far better player on grass and should be able to bomb his serve into the semis, I think we see a tough outing on Wednesday. Garin has held up thus far and I think he can make this another grind.

I'm not interested in the side, but I'm looking at the total with the opportunity to cash this with four competitive sets.
