The quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup kick off with Brazil and Croatia, in what will be an extreme contrast of styles. The Brazilians have dazzled with their flair and explosiveness, scoring goals from anywhere on the pitch.

Croatia hasn't popped off the screen as much as Brazil, but the 2018 runner-up survived penalites with Japan and is ready to make another deep run in the tournament.

With the final stretch of the tournament upon us, let’s look at the odds and see what the best bet is.

Brazil vs. Croatia Odds and Over/Under

Brazil vs. Croatia Prediction and Pick

Croatia made it to the Final in 2018, but its road ends here. Brazil is the superior team and it isn’t close. With the ease and skill Brazil plays with – and the fact that Neymar is healthy again – the Brazilians might have another huge day on the pitch.

Over the course of the tournament, Brazil’s expected goal and goal differential is much more aligned with the results than Croatia’s. Brazil has scored seven goals with an expected goals for at 9.43, while only allowing 2 goals with a 2.02 expected goals against. The Brazilian’s defense has been stout and hasn’t even given up many chances.

As for Croatia, it’s only given up two goals with an expected goals against at 5.64. If the defense continues to play the way it is right now, Brazil will capitalize and run up the score.
