Cubs vs. Brewers Prediction and Odds for Saturday, August 27 (Chicago a Sneaky Underdog on the Road in Milwaukee)
By Josh Yourish
Last night the Chicago Cubs beat the Milwaukee Brewers for the 10th time this year. Chicago leads the season series 10-7 and is up 1-0 in this weekend's iteration of the NL Central rivalry. The 4-3 Cubs win came with a left-handed starter on the mound and they have another lefty scheduled tonight.
Drew Smyly will go for Chicago following Justin Steele who pitched yesterday. Brandon Woodruff pitches for Milwaukee.

Cubs vs. Brewers Prediction and Pick
I picked the Cubs yesterday because of Milwaukee’s issues hitting left-handed pitching. However, the Cubs still needed 10 innings to cash my bet, so it is more a failure of their bullpen at that point.
Devin Williams gave up that late home run to Ian Happ, but other than a few hiccups Williams has filled in nicely for Josh Hader after he was traded away to San Diego. Williams gave up two runs, but one was unearned. Actually two of the Brewers four runs given up yesterday were unearned. All came off of relievers.
Brandon Woodruff could have another good start today the same way Freddy Peralta did last night, but it may not matter if the bullpen struggles again. Though what it really comes down to is Milwaukee’s offense.
They only managed one run on four hits across 5.1 innings from Justin Steele. Steele has been a better pitcher this year than Drew Smyly. Steele’s ERA is 3.18 compared to Smyly’s 3.47. In the three innings Smyly has pitched against the Brewers this season he did not allow a hit.
The Brewers team OPS against lefties actually went up after last night to .656, but is still 5th worst in the league. This process worked for me yesterday and if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Pick: Cubs +175
