We've got a battle of two squads going in opposite directions as the 15-7 Milwaukee Brewers host the 8-13 Chicago Cubs today at 2:10 PM EST.

The Brewers won the first two games of the series by a ridiculous combined score of 20-2, and now will send ace Corbin Burnes in hopes of a sweep.

Chicago will counter with Marcus Stroman, who has a 6.98 ERA through four starts but limited the Braves to just two runs over six innings in his last start.

Can the Cubs' offense find a way to score on Burnes or will the surging Brewers stay hot? Let's check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook to help find out ahead of this NL Central matchup:

Cubs vs Brewers Prediction and Pick

In four of their last five games, the Cubs have scored exactly one run. They've lost nine of 11 behind their putrid offense and things won't get easier today against one of the best pitchers in baseball in Corbin Burnes. He surrendered three runs in five innings against Chicago in his first start of the year, but has given up only two runs over 20.2 innings over his past three outings.

Marcus Stroman's best start of the year came against Milwaukee, when he held the Brewers to one run in five innings, but he's struggled to find a groove since. Take a look at his pitching profile from Baseball Savant and tell me with a straight face that this person is going to beat Burnes twice:

That is gross. Dating back to last season, Burnes hasn't given up more than three runs in 10 consecutive starts. Against a Cubs offense that's allergic to scoring, I expect another strong outing from the Cy Young winner today.

The Brewers are 11-2 in their last 13 and I see no reason to fade them in this one. Chicago is playing like one of the worst teams in baseball and until they show signs of life, we'll just keep betting against them.

Pick: Brewers -1.5 (+105)
