Winners of five straight, the Los Angeles Dodgers hope to stay hot against the visiting Chicago Cubs tonight at 10:10 PM EST.

Clayton Kershaw looks to continue a stellar stretch for the Dodgers' pitching staff, limiting each of its last 10 opponents to four runs or fewer. Kershaw threw seven scoreless innings against the Padres in his last start and brings a 2.35 home ERA into the contest.

Chicago's Marcus Stroman hasn't quite enjoyed the same success, coming off a nine-run shellacking at the Cardinals' hands before going on the Injured List. That being said, he's been stellar on the road with a 2.79 ERA.

Can Stroman bounce back from the St. Louis disaster or will Kershaw keep the home squad rolling?

Let's take a peak at the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook to help find the value in this Cubs vs Dodgers matchup:

Cubs vs Dodgers Prediction and Pick

After last night's extra-innings win, the Dodgers have won nine of 10 while allowing an average of just 2.4 runs per game. They'd love to pick up another win behind Clayton Kershaw, as they've lost four of his last five starts.

But other than a hiccup against the Rockies, those losses haven't been Kershaw's fault. In fact, over his previous nine starts, Kershaw allowed one or fewer run seven times. The guy has been his typical dominant self and his MLB Statcast Pitching Profile supports that notion:

Meanwhile, Chicago is 4-10 in its last 14 as a road underdog with eight of the losses coming by multiple runs. I don't see the Cubs flipping the script against Kershaw, especially with an ineffective Marcus Stroman making his first start in a month due to injury.

I'll admit, Stroman was rather effective overall other than his nine-run nightmare against St. Louis. He allowed two or fewer runs in five straight starts prior to that meltdown, but his MLB Statcast Pitching Profile doesn't inspire confidence:

The Cubs are 2-7 in Stroman's starts this season. Against a Dodgers team that leads MLB in OPS against right-handed pitchers over the last week with Kershaw gunning for an All-Star Game bid, I don't see Chicago overcoming Los Angeles' overwhelming talent advantage.

Give me Los Angeles to pull off a sixth straight win as Trea Turner and company give Kershaw the run support he needs for a convincing win.

Pick: Dodgers -1.5 (-130)
