The Chicago Cubs closed out the first half of the season 1-9 in their final 10 games; including a nine game losing streak.

On Sunday, they look to make it four straight wins and sweep away the Philadelphia Phillies in Philadelphia.

The Cubs' bats erupted for five runs in the top of the 10th inning Saturday en route to a 6-2 victory in extra innings. They've now scored 21 runs in the series following a 15-2 victory on Friday night.

As left-hander Drew Smyly faces off against fellow lefty Bailey Falter, let's check out the odds for today's series finale in Philadelphia over at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Cubs vs. Phillies Prediction and Pick

It's in the mid-90s in Philly this afternoon with the wind blowing out to right field at 9-11 mph. While that's certainly a factor in why I'm leaning on the over, it's by no means the only one.

Amongst all 30 starters on the bump today, Smyly and Falter both rank in the bottom 6 in wins above replacement, or WAR. In five starts this year, Falter has a 4.82 ERA and an expected ERA (xERA) of 5.34. He's also giving up plenty of long balls; averaging 1.82 home runs per nine innings.

As for Smyly, the veteran lefty's ERA looks decent at 4.22; but like Falter, his xERA, as well as his Fielder Independent Pitching, or FIP jump up another half a run when you look a little closer. He's also allowing a sizable portion of his fly balls to leave the park; 14.5% of them to be exact.

WIth the Cubs' hitters locked in, as well as too much firepower in the Phillies' lineup against bad pitching, I think the over is in a great spot to hit in the first game of the day.

LEAN: OVER 10 (-110)
