Everybody wants a July 4th weekend long shot, so the BetSided team looked to the home run prop market.

We have two sluggers we are backing to go deep, keep reading to find out. Odds are courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook:

Best Home Run Picks Today

  • Taylor Ward, Los Angeles Angels (+520)
  • Javy Baez, Detroit Tigers (+330)

Taylor Ward, Los Angeles Angels (+520)

I went with Giancarlo Stanton two days in a row, but I think it’s time to move on. I’ll switch my focus to Taylor Ward of the Angels. Ward hasn’t hit one in nine games, but this is a good spot for him. He has 11 homers on the season and is going against Jose Urquidy. One of the most consistent things I like to bet on is Urquidy giving up a dinger. He’s given one up in his last eight starts. You can get more value with Ward to knock it out the park over the other two stars on the Angels, so I’ll back him. - Donnavan Smoot

Javy Baez, Detroit Tigers (+330)

No, the Baez experiment hasn't gone that well in Detroit, but he should be able to tee off on Kris Bubic, who hits ..361 against lefties. He is always a threat to go deep if he gets the barrel on the ball and Bubic has done a terrible job of avoiding that. Bubic has an ERA north of 7.00 and allows fly balls on nearly 60% of balls put in play. If Baez can get a hold of one look out, he's sending it deep. - Reed Wallach
