Daily Dinger: Best Home Run Prop Bet Picks Today (Bryan De La Cruz Set to Go Deep Again)
By Reed Wallach
Football season is in full swing, but we can't forget about our precious home run props.
The BetSided team has been on a tear with our home run prop bet picks each day on the website, you can find our full list of bets here, and have two for you to get the weekend starter, both coming form a bit off the radar.
Here is an All-Star not known for his power and a red hot Marlin, who is trying to propel the team out of the basemen of all offensive categories with his powerful bat.
Best Home Run Picks Today
Andrés Giménez (+675) - Cleveland Guardians vs. Minnesota Twins
Gimenez has been fantastic this season, his first All-Star campaign, and has dominated righty pitchers this season, hitting nearly .300 on the season with 13 of his 16 homers coming against those type of pitchers.
Bailey Ober will make his first start since early June on Friday night and may be in trouble against the Guardians lineup, so I’ll take a stab at Gimenez at long odds, who has an OPS north of .840 at Progressive Field. – Reed Wallach
Bryan De La Cruz - (+520) – Miami Marlins vs. Washington Nationals
There’s one thing I know for sure in this game and that’s the fact that Josiah Gray is going to give up a home run.
He’s allowed a home run in 12 straight starts and has given up 12 in his last six starts. De La Cruz is in a perfect position to capitalize on that.
De La Cruz has hit nine home runs on the year, with two coming in the last week. Furthermore, he’s hit eight of his nine homers against righties – which Gray is. If Gray is going to continue to be reckless, De La Cruz has great value to hit one deep today. – Donnavan Smoot
